Come join us for the Qualicum Beach Museum’s annual Children’s Museum Day.
This is a fun, free, family event, and this year we have many games and activities the whole family will enjoy including, face painting, pony rides, pioneer games, puppet shows, lemonade and refreshments. Look forward to seeing you there!
Saturday August 19, 12:00 – 4:00 pm on our museum grounds, (587 Beach Drive, across from the train station).
Stop by the Qualicum Beach Museum Saturday July 22 for our Vintage Sale. There will be antique toys, clothing, books, photo frames, cameras, dishware, sewing materials and much more. The sale is happening the same day as St. Mark’s Fair, so be sure to come by!

There will be a presentation from the Oceanside Community Arts Council. This group supports and promotes art, music and culture in the Parksville/Qualicum area.
March 1, 2016
This evening will be our annual co-meeting with the Qualicum Beach Family History Society. There will be a presentation from Morgan Ostler on the history of the Inland Highway. Morgan was involved with a group that lobbied for 36 years for the construction of the Inland Island Hwy. In September 2001 the new highway leading to Campbell River was officially opened. Since then their greatest concern has been the number of hydroplaning accidents.
February 16th, 2016
Members from the Parksville-Qualicum chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women will present the history of their organization. The CFUW is very active in promoting the pursuit of knowledge, the promotion of education, and the improvement of the status of women and human rights. They serve the community by providing scholarships to high school graduates, bursaries to women resuming their education, and memorial awards. This event is scheduled to coincide with BC Heritage Week.
April 5th, 2016
Ms. Merlyn Patton, a local expert on vintage clothing and a volunteer exhibit designer at the museum, will give a presentation about vintage clothing and the history of fashion.

A presentation about the history of the Vancouver Island Regional Library.
